Title almost says it all

on our htpc setup (win10, Kodi), if I pause briefly (a few seconds), all is good.

But If media is left on pause 15 minutes+ or so, when hitting play., audio resume playing normally but we're staring at paused picture for 30 seconds before it kicks back in.

I believe this system is running latest official repo beta

This problem has always been (4 years +)

It was already happening years ago with a puny laptop,

I have a decent rig NUC i5 7th gen, M.2 SSD for 2.5 years same issue still.

power options are set to never sleep shutdown screen after an hour

What  I havent done is try pausing on my workhorse desktop see if it behaves the same

Have you checked the Bios settings? Usually there are power saving options available.

I will have a look, but wouldn't they affect computer as a whole, instead of just resume video playback of Kodi ?

Yes, but doesn't hurt to check. Maybe you are lucky and find something.

I could not find any bios settings that would cause this behavior; in fact I was pleased to see of 3 main pwr scheme offered , it was set for max performance.

Problem is easy enough to reproduce; start viewing any media, then pause it for at least 15 minutes.

Any Emby and/or Kodi and/or E4K next gen setting worth checking?

Its manually shut down before we go to bed, otherwise also set to never sleep.

I'm performing a pause test on test machine (same one I did all those recent test on)

will post back with result in a while

I have a very similar problem.  It started a few months ago for me.  If I stop playback, and resume, it does basically what you say.

Latest (experimental) versions are available in this thread, first posting:

Latest version has a Kodi 18 bug, don;t use it. Kodi 19 is save. (6.x versions requires complete db resync!)

I installed the experimental version, however, it didn't change anything.  I tried accessing the files outside of Emby (I added the drive as a source), and the same issue happens, so I don't think it is an EmbyNextGen problem.  Both of my Shields do it though, so I am unsure what is causing it.
