avoid sign language shows for recording schedule

This possibly falls into a feature request, but is there a way to exclude (or explicitly include for those who need it) the sign language broadcasts that typically run late/early morning in the UK?

a quick general search returns this thread that states that it's both embedded into the main video stream and EPG should mention 'SL' (Sign Language) in the show details.

while i've used schedules direct (mythtv & emby), and now moved to embys own EPG i cant say I've ever seen the 'SL' tag on either so maybe it's a youview EPG feature only.

I'm not quite sure how i did it with Mythtv but i somehow got it to avoid these SL-enabled shows so I'm looking to do the same with emby.

I'm in the US so maybe this is a UK thing but I've never heard of this before.
So are these shows where there is an overlaid box with a person doing sign language?

yeah pretty much

unforunately i don't see any indicator for it in the epg data from Schedules Direct. I don't believe emby's will be any different. The iplayer tv guide says this show has sign language:

i figured it was a globally used system.

just so the non-familiar see how it looks with an SL-enabled program - pretty standard layout in my experience:

sounds like this cant be done at EPG level, so the only option would be to rely the scheduler? since these programs tend to run at a certain time of the day (00:00-06:00 should easily cover things) and for certain programs then having the ability to control timeslots would be benficial.

yes, i am aware recording options have a 'record around XX:XX time' but that seems a little restrictive and depending on exactly what program it is, that time can change depending on day of week, if it's a repeat or even if it's on a +1 channel.
