Missing folder in a collection

It's going to depend on the meta-data as this isn't a "true" disc view.

I'd bet 2 of these are merged together and if you drill down into ww1 you'll see files from ww2.

Generally anything following with a '-' in the name could be categorised as a multi-version.  I'm thinking maybe this is confusing things.  Try and remove the '-' out the folder names.

And you might untick "Automatically merge series that are spread across multiple folders" in your Library setup (toggle "Show advanced settings" on).

ok solved by renaming my folders with complete name provided by rbjtech.

But still cannot understand why a folder with a different name don't appear in the "folder" view ?

If you rename your series and used (year) in the title as recommended you'll avoid these "merges" and other issues that can crop up.

I put everything back as the start, to try to investigate more.

With originals "-" in folder name, no version dropdown visible on episode, or on season...

Then removed all "-" in folder name, still same issue. ww2 folder is not here...

Enter any episode Details view ("i" button) and near the top check for 'version' dropdown.

ok Got it. That's the root cause.

My 2 versions are here. But still no "-" in folder name. So why 2 versions detected ?

So I uncheck the "merge" in advanced settings, to avoid this in the future.

Thanks everybody for the support!

Are the files from ww2 inside the ww1 folder?

Try renaming them:

Apocalypse  - World War I (2014)
Apocalypse - The Second World War (2009)

No, files are in the correct folders. It merges with "apocalypseww1" & "apocalypseww2" folder name.

But it don't merge with the full name

You're missing what I'm saying.  Name the folders correctly to avoid these issues and get proper matching.

No, understood the issue. I see the metadata matching is better with correct folder names.

What I don't get is why it merges 2 folders with different names...

I disable this "merge option" which is confusing for me.

Thanks again for your quick support 👍

Because it's not recognizing that they are in fact different.

Run your files through a util such as FileBot to get both proper file names and folder names and reduce issues by at least 95%.

Thanks...Will do that to prevent future issues.

For the moment, I'm really glad to have find Emby. Way better than my old usb disk plugged on my Samsung TV...
