Auto Organize oddity/bug

I have two identical pieces of hardware (QNAP TVS-872N, OS Version 4.5.2.1566) in different locations.

System 1/Location 1

  • Emby 4.5.4.0
  • Auto Organize 1.5.6.0
  • Downloads files via qBittorrent 4.3.3
  • Auto Organize can recognize and process all files

Download folder on System 1/Location 1 is sync'ed to Download folder on System 2/Location 2

System 2/Location 2

  • Emby 4.6.0.26 (Beta)
  • Auto Organize 1.5.8.0
  • Downloads files via qBittorrent 4.3.3
  • Auto Organize can recognize and process most, but not all files
    • For example
      • afi-riverdale.us.s05e06.1080p.mkv is recognized and processed on system 1, but not on system 2 where it says it can't find the series information.
        • Once renamed to riverdale.s05e06.1080p.mkv on system 2, it's recognized and processed properly
      • afi-young.sheldon.s04e09.1080p.mkv is recognized and processed on system 1, but not on system 2 where it says it can't find the series information.
        • Once renamed to young.sheldon.s04e09.1080p.mkv on system 2, it's recognized and processed properly

Well, to be honest, I think your System 1 is in the wrong there (and not System 2), as that should NOT be recognized and associated with Riverdale/Young Sheldon series, i.e. different named ones. Tomorrow, you might as well have a show named Afi-Riverdale or Afi-Young Sheldon (I know that is highly unlikely, but using those just as an example, as there are numerous shows with similar/same names), how do you envision for the plugin to associate proper one in that case?

I agree...  I can't say I understand why it does.  They aren't the only series either... there are at least a couple of others.  I have found that the ...us.... in the riverdale name is more of an issue than is the afi, on system 1.  But it's inconsistent.

If system 2 is behaving as expected, then I can only assume the new version is matching better based on new development.
