Hi forum,

just downloaded the 3.7.0 plugin in order to give it a try.

Syncing channels works fine.

But playing channels through emby results in

  • a black player window (newest microsoft edge) with a rotating circle
  • lots of small .ts-files in the transcoding-temp-folder

I tried it with the following DVB/S2 channels - it looks just like HD channels with CI support do not work (CI support for Digital Devices was introduced in an experimental way some time ago by sub):

  • ServusTV HD Austria (needs CI): did not work
  • ORF 2 HD (needs CI): did not work
  • Kika HD: worked
  • Nickoloden: worked
  • RTL plus austria: worked

I used TvMosaic  before and with that, playing the above channels worked fine

Please find the logfiles nearby (they were taken when trying Servus TV HD Austria)

Thx for your help!

As far as I can tell NextPVR and the plugin are doing their part but Emby's ffmpeg is having trouble with the file format.  I think it become an Emby problem perhaps with stream 0:0

Did you try in a direct play client like Kodi that uses the same API?

Just tried it on my firetv cube through the Emby app - and there the channels show up.

Will try to figure out if in that way no transcoding is done ...

thx for your super fast reply!

Playing through firetv cube shows up as direct play. The transcoding temp shows just one file, not as much as before.playing through the Emby iOS app also works fine.

even, no ffmpeg logfile was written.

Maybe an ffmepg update would help - does anyone know on plans about that?

With mp2 and ac3 audio tracks you won't have direct play in a browser.  Also I'm not sure why Emby isn't decoding the ac3 track.
