Dedone 15
Hi, I've try to convert a 4k H264 file in H265, but it downscale to 1080 and it also cut the bitrate from 4 to 2.8. I had use custom settings, hevc, Aac 4 mbps

Luke 37046
When you select a quality of 4 mbps, it's 4 mbps total for the entire file, so the actual video bitrate will be less than that because you have the two audio tracks. One of those audio tracks is 640k, the other is 384k, so that sounds about right. So if you want the video stream bitrate to be 4 mbps, perhaps try entering 5 mbps instead.
Dedone 15
So if I selecte 5 mbps it will also keep the 4k res? And I don't understand how can I detect wich mbps I must choose for future conversions.Ā
Luke 37046
I would just try it and experiment until you find the one that you want.

Dedone 15
this is the last conversion. I use 7 mbps and the result is the file with the same specs of the original and same size. It only make a 4k hevc file without any size reduction Ā ffmpeg-remux-0af6a91f-aa62-498b-aa93-7abff0300c56_1.txt
