Hi, this summer id hope to plan my holidays on a long roadtrip, the mobile data account now a days are restricted for my so i was thinking..

Can I have a db-backup from selected folders that contain music? (From my synology)

And

Install a mobile android server (running on my mobile phone) and import that db-backup after i create the folder structure that belongs to it.

I'd believe otg support on my oppo device can manage a wd passport hdd

Please advise :)

Hi, this should be fine, but if you're changing platforms then I would generally suggest setting up from scratch.

I am assuming it is a no-go then for me :(

it would be nice if after using that database I could merge it with my original database when back in town

I'm kindof after something similar.

How about this:

  1. Download your music with Android Client App to your phone
  2. Playback the music directly on your phone with Android Client App even when you are offline
  3. If your phone has external SD card, Emby can download files to there so any application can playback your offline music

Yes that will work.
