Umstieg von TVH/Kodi

Hallo,

Emby can run headless.

Emby can do everything you ask for BUT will not be able to use your tuners directly (for now).  The next update of Live TV may support them out of the box or make it much easier to add.

Emby has a TVHeadend plugin that makes it really easy to use your existing TVHeadend system with Emby.  So once configured you can control and use it from Emby.

So with the plugin added to Emby and your current TVHE (assuming you have this working) it should be pretty easy to get Emby up and running as a replacement for all your other software.

You will then have the ability to use any of the listed client here (https://emby.media/download.html) to access your Emby system including TV (thanks to the plugin).

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

PS What country are you in?  Germany?

Thanks a lot. Yes, I'm from Germany. I do speak moderate english, but that was too much text to translate 😉

I understand that I need to run TVH for now. But this is an advantage, currently, because I can test Emby in parallel to Kodi then.

Yes and this will allow you to transition in stages as well.

BTW there are a couple of Kodi for Emby client/plugins as well so if you like Kodi or have this on specific devices you can likely keep them as well but change from reading the raw storage to Emby itself.  I myself prefer the normal Emby clients but it's a nice option to have.

One of the main devs working on the next version of Live TV is from Germany as well so he will know your country's TV usage/technologies pretty well.

Let us know how you make out.
