sross44 233
I have a quick question.... I have my max streaming bit rate set to 160 Mbits/sec. (Auto seems to mess me up when playing HDR content outside of the home network). If I leave it at this, it should only use what it it needs to correct? For example will a 1080p movie only use 10/Mbits/sec. I know this sounds stupid, but my stats for nerds has been all over the place lately and I’m just double checking for my own sanity that I’m not crazy. (Ok, yes I’m know I’m crazy.... just not about this)
Luke 37060
Hi, yes that is correct.
Carlo 4330
If you direct play then 160Mb is the MAX it will allow. If the media itself is 15Mb then that's what will be used.
pwhodges 1527
If your server needs to transcode for another reason (audio or subtitle support, usually), then the transcoded bitrate may well be higher than the original file. This could account for some surprising stats. Paul
