Pleading for help to get a working UK epg MP1

Hi All,

I realise I've asked for a lot of help over the last few days.

But I've been over a week squirreled away in the home office where the server is. 

I've just come to a total roadblock with getting a working epg for my set-up.

I'm using the web epg version and I get some of the UK channels, I only have about 20 channels but missing the epg for BBC1, BBC2, Sky Arts, Yesterday, etc

I've tried the
 .xml.Radiotimes.com
www.mydigiguide.com
www.bleb.com

 

For BBC 1 Midlands  - I match it to BBC 1 Midlands in the RadioTimes.com

Then go to General\Grab now!

Reports:

Total Channel  imported 1

Total Programs imported 0

I've tried matching exact names

I've tried different BBC regions

I've tried all three

 

Where can i get a working  xml file for the UK?

Is there anyone in the UK that could tell me how to get a working epg for the UK

 

 

I can receive and view all the channels perfectly but without an epg it's a bit pointless.

I have a subscription to Schedules Direct, but that appears to be a no-go in the UK (and for emby now too)

Is there ever going to be a possibility to right click a channel and assign the correct epg from the tv data guide providers folder?

Hi, Do you have you tuners setup directly in Emby or via Emby Plugin?

If plugin, which one?

If you have your tuner/m3u setup directly in Emby itself you can use the built in Emby Guide Data.

If using a plugin you have to setup the DVR being used by the plugin with the EPG and you won't do any guide work in Emby.
The plugin will pull this info automatically in Emby.

EDIT: Since this was posted in the Media Portal area of the forum I should have assumed the plugin and Media Portal is used.
So all EPG/Guide data must be setup there and not in Emby.

Yes, using the MediaPortal1 plugin.

Tuners are setup and working perfectly in Mediaportal1

UK epg - Total fail.

The webepg will work for the some of the ITV channels, but none of the BBC channels.

Looking at Digiguide. £15 per year for a program to show me what's on.

Investigating if it provides an xml that MediaPortal 1 can use.

Trouble is I've been spoilt by how excellent Emby is. 99% of things just work.

When i search for help on this subject, the posts are over ten years old.

What on earth do the rest of the UK do to get a working Freesat EPG.

Short of buying a Manhatten box for every room!

focus on the thread where you were discussing with punktchen. he'll see you right. i'm trying to remember how i had this configured

ok i remember. i used DG2XML plus a digiguide subscription to pull down an xmltv file and then use the xmltv plugin in MP to pull in that file and then match it up. but as punktchen asked you in the other thread, if i were you i would use your schedules direct sub with epg123 and get the xmltv file that way
