Well, THAT WAS EASY. Thanks. Now I get to go through and trim out channels I don't really get or want to see. Amazing how side-channels have proliferated over the years. Man there's a lot of religious channels OTA these days!! I usually am at work during daytime but today due to an appointment I took off... wow there's so much crap! To the (awesome) Emby staff... keep in mind many of us think of our systems as appliances and only show up on the forum when we run into a problem. This is a testament to how stable and user friendly Emby is; mostly I just experience it through ET or the Roku app. I didn't see any emails on this subject of needing to change providers from Schedules Direct before, nor from Emby. I might have missed something. But even a big sticky on the LiveTV subforum wouldn't get my attention because I probably haven't been in this sub for years. How long have I been paying SD for schedules while Emby could have given it to me for free? Oh well! Is it correct that from that service, I will get a personalized URL, which I can put into Emby, and which will deliver the XML needed for the TV guide? Had I known this back in Sept 2020 when I last renewed, I would have never renewed. I want a partial refund for the 6 months I will not use the service. What are the chances of that happening? ecs0set 3 Posted January 25, 2021 Share Posted January 25, 2021 SD sent me a follow up email and acknowledged that their email could have had a little more finesse. They did state "At the time, Emby asked us not to send an email until their guide service was up and running". Given the experiences in this thread, I think Emby also needs to shoulder some responsibility for this situation. As stated by others, a forum post is not suitable notification to those of us who do not frequent the forum unless we experience a problem. Still, the Emby Guide service appears to be just as good so I suppose we should be grateful to avoid the SD subscription charges in the long run. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
