My guess would be no mpeg2 decoder on those other devices...

Aren't all 7 of the HDHR channels pumping out MPEG2?

If these are OTA channels I'd almost guarantee they're Mpeg2.

Yes they are all OTA channels. HEVC is not available in my market yet FYI.

@ebr@cayars

I got the following info/screenshots above from VLC on my LAN. Do you see any reason why the 2 channels, CW and Fox, will only Transcode with my Pixel 4 XL and Chromebooks?

No, we need to know why the client won't direct play those two channels.

What's the best way to pull that info from an Android phone or Chromebook?

Forgive me if this has been asked, but if you record one that transcodes, and then play the recording, do you have the same result?

I just recorded the 2 problematic channels for about 20 minutes and played both back. Both Transcode still 😔

Do you get a different reason in Stats for Nerds?

"Direct Play Error" for both channels, from both live and the recorded files.

What app version are you running?

3.2.07

Edit: just uninstalled .07 and installed 3.2.05 with the exact same results.

No those are from the server.  We are asking for the logs from the Android device.

Android Logs

The app writes log files to the system defined data folder for the app. Generally this is:

/Android/data/com.mb.android/files/logs

You may need to download and install a file manager to be able to access the files. ES File Explorer is a popular choice.
