I have a QNAP TS 431XeU and the same issue since more than one year. Can't access via web interface (connection refused).

I have entered the command posted by alucryd with the following result:

/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/EmbyServer/emby-server.sh: line 20: kill: (5422) - No such process

Hi, would you mind trying the 4.6 beta channel? We had another user with a different older QNAP that is now reporting success with that. Thanks !

Could you guys give the following packages a try?

https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases/download/4.6.0.43/emby-server-qnap_4.6.0.43_arm-x31.qpkg

https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases/download/4.6.0.43/emby-server-qnap-mono_4.6.0.43_arm-x31.qpkg

The first one is the same as you've been trying until now, only newer. The second one is based on mono instead of dotnet core, and should definitely work if the first one fails.

First link updated again, it has been successfully tested on a 231 device, hopefully it works on 431 as well. If it does, we won't need the mono package after all.

Thanks for the update. I've tried to install both packages but get the error message:

Fehler    2021-05-12    18:05:36    ---    127.0.0.1    ---    ---    [App Center] Failed to install Emby Server 4.6.0.43. Installation package is incompatible. Use the correct package.

Device is a TS-431XeU

@Pansen Were you able to install one of them at some point? I'll try to determine if there's some specific build instructions for the rack devices.

Side note: in any case you'll probably need the mono package, Alpine CPUs have been known to fail with dotnet core on both Qnap and Synology devices.

@Pansen No specific instructions in the QDK, however you might want to give either x41 package a try, looks like Qnap couldn't be bothered to name this device correctly.

https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases/download/4.6.0.45/emby-server-qnap_4.6.0.45_arm-x41.qpkg

https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases/download/4.6.0.45/emby-server-qnap-mono_4.6.0.45_arm-x41.qpkg

The first one will most likely fail because of the Alpine CPU, hopefully the second one works.

@alucrydFirst of all I would like to say thanks for providing support. Much appreciated!

I've installed the non-mono package with the expected result (install went fine but unable to connect via web interface - ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED)

Uninstalled this version afterwards and gave the mono version a try and boom, works perfectly!

I guess I need to bump up the memory a bit since it is stuttering a bit when I play UHD content with a huge file size. I currently have 2GB. Do you think 4GB will be sufficient?

Again, thank you so much! It finally works again thanks to you!

@Pansen It depends, you should probably check if your CPU is not the bottleneck first. If it's not and your memory is full, then yes, go for it.
