jeremymeyers 4
Currently the workflow for manually identifying a person or movie involves searching IMDB etc for the entry and clipping the "TT#######" from the url and copy/pasting into the search field. If the identify window were set up to parse the URLs directly to extract this information it would save a few steps.
Happy2Play 8242
But Emby does not use IMDB at all so Emby would have to parse said url for only IMDBid. The IMDBid is used to query Emby's provider sites ie TMDB, OMDB and TVDB.
jeremymeyers 4
I was using IMDB as an example. The same workflow improvement could apply to putting in TMDB IDs (i.e. https://www.themoviedb.org/person/1328-sean-astin instead of copying and pasting "1328")

Can't you just search by name and then choose the proper one from the returned list?
