Question about my auto organize settings

I re-installed emby a couple of weeks ago after an issue with my TV Shows folder, I now have an issue with Movies, all current movies are there, ie the ones that were added before I re-installed, I've since added a few more movies and none of them have been added, Auto Organize has done it's thing and added them to the folder, although an observation was made that once I selected Media Type as Movie it wasn't recoginising the movie title, the title field was blank, so I manually typed in the title and search came up with it and then it moved the file to the Movie Folder.

I've tried deleting the Library and re-adding it, no luck

I've moved the folder, no luck

I've done multiple re-scans, no luck

Any ideas what I can do next?

EDIT: Just to add when I before I re-installed Emby I deleted the entire Emby folder on my NAS.

sounds like possibly a permissions issue - have you compared old and new movie folders - check the files as well

have you looked for errors in the logs - turn debug on if not already

Thanks for the feedback, I've turned on Debug, looking at my log I do see this;

search for inotify in this sub forum and you will find a long thread on it

needs a small addition to the startup of the syno IIRC - basically you have too many files for the current default inotify setting

Thanks for the info, I've been reading thru the threads and it's going over my head at bit! Will keep reading to try and understand, thanks for input.

Add a script to run at boot up to eliminate the watches error.  There's another script you may need to run also.  If it still doesn't work please post another log of you adding a movie, etc. and we can see what you get next.

@cayars any luck getting something into the kb about the 2 inotify errors and Synology?

Wait a couple minutes after you reboot and you can check to see if the allowed watches have increased by typing this into terminal 

cat /proc/sys/fs/inotify/max_user_watches

Thanks for the info, I figured that out earlier with the inotify thingy script, I have put it on boot up, and restarted the NAS, it now solves the inotify error, but I am still having the issue;

Looking at my log;

I can find the latest movies I've added, for example; The Italian Job (1969), it shows it in the log but I have Debug App listings next to a few entries, I have no knowledge on what I'm looking at, I've attached the latest log, but I assume this is not normal;

I've just solved my problem!  Turns out I hadn't included ".%ext" on Auto Organize file name pattern so all new movies were being moved and renamed without the file extension 🤫 only found it out when I moved the movies back to the watch folder and it didn't see the, checked in the folders and sure enough each movie was missing their file extention!
