avalon65 2
I have been using emby for some time, and then there was an update which wouldn't work. So fro a thread on this forum I installed another version of emby which opens fine. The problem I have now tho' is that my username and or password is not recognised. When I tap on forgot password a message comes up saying it has sent something to: var/db/emby-server/passwordreset.txt. It's not on my FreeNAS server and I can't access the /var/db folder on my android tablet. How do I get to the password rest file, or is there another way I can reset my password. Thanks
Luke 36997
Hi, it might be there but marked hidden. Have you tried using the file browser on your freenas?

Emby would be running in a jail. So your first step should be open the shell from within the jail, or if using something like putty you would use a command such as "iocage console JAILNAME". From there you could navigate to /var/db/emby-server
avalon65 2
Thanks, yes that did it. /var/db/emby-server/passwordreset.txt was in the emby jail shell. I know where to look next time. Edited November 16, 2020 by avalon65
