itgreen9 9
Hi, is there anyway that I can mirror Emby on one device to another? When I am cleaning the house or working on a project in multiple rooms I would like to view the same stream simultaneously on multiple devices. Luke 36876
Hi, we don't currently have a feature for this, but you could use remote control to start the same content on multiple devices.

I know the Roku allows MiraCast which allows you to send any screen from a Windows PC or an Android device to the Roku. https://support.roku.com/article/208754928 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miracast This cast(screen mirroring) ability is independent of Emby. You can cast(screen mirror) ANY application to the Roku. A browser, a game, anything... There is lag. Audio is cast as well as video. But it does work. This is possible. It is also possible to use ChromeCast and the new GoogleCast to sort of do the same thing as Roku. Not sure if it is as seamless as MiraCast. Any device that says it supports MiraCast has this ability. Edited November 16, 2020 by speechles

If you mean I could just start the same video on another device, that won't work. Basically, I am cleaning the house. So I am moving between multiple rooms. Right now I have to stop the video and then start it in another room. Then stop it and start it back up when I am ready to go back. That is what is not working. I want to be able to start it and then turn that same stream on in another room. That way I am picking up in the same place without the starting and stopping. Kind of like how if you are watching OTA TV or cable you can tune into the same program in another room.
Luke 36876
Yes I get it, I'm just trying to offer some way of doing it. If you start them manually on each device with remote control, they should only differ by a few seconds.
