Phone is LG V20 with Android 8.0.0

Server is Windows 4.5.2.0

Don't know what version was installed, before, but music playback started skipping today.

I saw an update was available, so I installed it and now Emby force closes right away.

I've cleared cache & data, re-installed, and even installed on my backup phone (identical V20.)

I've included the log, but it's rather short.

If my version of Android is no longer supported moving forward, is there a compatible APK I can download?

Same error on LGv30+ running android 8.0. I tried flushing data, fresh install, and opting for beta version. All force close immediately.

Sent error report mutliple times.

Logs do not reveal anything unfortunately.

Same it started today. Didn't know it got updated but yeah crashes on startup. Samsung 9s+, V8.0.0. Clear cache/data, uninstalled+CC, restarted phone/off. Nothing helps. Haven't installed any apps or any settings last 24 hours worked last night.

Love emby so much! Pay for subscription. Hope this error/bug gets fixed asap please

Update fix!!! Managed to download 3.1.23 version and works again but the latest update does not work. Confirmed.

Hope this helps: https://emby.en.aptoide.com/versions

Thanks for a temporary solution.

Hopefully someone chimes in when the problem is fixed, and we can start updating again.

Thanks to everyone else, as well, for confirming that this is in fact a problem others are having.

EDIT:  Problem solved, nothing to see here.

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S7 w/ Android 8.

Currently using the latest Stable release, but the problem started with the current beta release.

Emby opens (dark screen, no emby logo) only to immediately close with the message: "Emby has stopped".

I have:

restarted device

cleared cache

cleared data

uninstalled beta

reinstalled stable

Nothing has worked I can no longer get Emby to open on my phone.

Any help would be appreciated as this is one of my main devices for Emby.

@adamstewiegreen

Thanks
