Experiencing an issue on MBC, where on selecting a video to play, MBC crashes and I am bounced back to Media Centre's main menu. The video continues to play in the background, just have to navigate to the Now Playing tile.

MBC log here. There is an error at the end when the crash occurred.

MBServer log here,

Currently running MBC version 3.0.195.0,and MBServer version 3.0.5321.35225.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Cheers

Unfortunately ebr is on holiday, so help may be a patchy.

Which theme on MBC are you using?

If not chocolate, then try that to see if it's theme related.

I can't remember, but is the version you're using the beta or dev?

Has MBC been working previously?

Has anything changed recently that could have caused this? MBS/MBC updates? Other Software updates? OS updates?

I got the same issue. I am on MBS ver 3.0.5321 and MBC Vers 3.0.195. I first noticed it after the MBS update this morning.

I am using Chocolate and when I hit play, it plays my intro and starts the movie. It then pops the MC Extensibility error. I OK it and the movie continues. When finished or I stop it, WMC and MB3 have stopped.

Attached are my logs

everyone having the crashing issue.. Luke has just elevated the 196 dev release to BETA status... if you update to that and make sure you are on the current released mb server, then please retry to see if the crashing is present or not.

this is only on startup.. so mbc never gets even fully loaded?

is there a windows event log crash that you can cut/paste the details of?

also we need the normal logs for both mbc from the client machine and the corresponding server log. please see this post
