I've tried all 3 possible settings in emby server running on my synology nas (latest version). if emby is running on the shield 2019 pro no Screensaver comes up. really annoying with a oled behind. am I doing something wrong here? not so much settings in the app itself... thanks, Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Luke 36991 Posted October 31, 2020 Share Posted October 31, 2020 I did read your post, and i expected you would respond by saying you enabled it on the server, in which case my response is that the screensaver is a setting that is individual to each app, so in your case, you enabled it in the web app on the server in that particular browser. Many of the settings do carry over from one device to another, just not the screensaver because that's the kind of thing that you might want to be different depending on the device, screen, location, etc. The Shield app will be adding screensavers in future updates. Additionally, our standard android app can also run on the Shield and is TV friendly: And it has the same screensavers you're already accustomed to. I thought I'm running the standard emby app on my shield? installed via playstore. this shield is not rooted and I've not changed so much for now. just installed the app. so how can your link be different? supermood 17 Posted December 20, 2020 Author Share Posted December 20, 2020 hi I try to summarize - I'm running android TV app via playstore on my shield, with version 1.8.28g I'm not able to have a Screensaver there's another android non TV version with Screensaver this version is not on your download page, I've tried a lot of flies you have no version info on your download page nor any info somewhere nor have the files a version name. I have to go to your drop box link. than I will run aversion to able to update automatically? The app will dim the screen drastically, however after several minutes. What is the situation where you need to leave the video paused for such a long period?
