If you have to login to download a m3u file that's far outside the norm and will break most apps since this is very uncommon. In this case the proper thing to do is manually download the file and then point your apps including Emby to the local m3u file you've downloaded. As @jad3675 stated above many providers are blocking m3u downloads and instead forcing XC/API integration. One of my providers has done this and I can no longer use it in Emby.
