flakie 11
Restoring my backed up settings may be the cause of the below? Emby 4.5.2.0 Shows as Stopped on Synology NAS but *is* running. On latest 4.5.2.0 Emby shows as not running in the Package Center. I think it also showed this on previous manual install version. I noticed there it was showing 2 versions installed. The old (2.4.3.0?) in the Community Installs, that was running and the new 4.5.2.0 version under the Installed section, that was not running. Emby showed as having the correct new version in dashboard and as running. I saw there were installation folders in both /var/packages and volume1/emby I tried to uninstall them and remove the setttings for Emby in community and reinstall just the latest as a manual package. Unistalling either from the Package Center removed references to both versions. After the reinstall Emby waas running again but showing old version number in the Dashboard. I unistalled and deleted both emby folders. Rebooted and installed latest. Dashboard now shows as correct 4.5.2.0 version and there is only a package showing in the Installed section. But it is still not showing as running. If I start it here it shows as running for a few seconds, then goes to stopped. All the time it continues to actually run, so seems a more cosmetic issue. Not 100% but I think this issue may start when I restore my backup, from whatever the version was before 4.5.2.0 (the backup process started life with the community installation). Does the new method install to a location different to the community version? Be good to find a fix. Any ideas?
FrostByte 5049
Looks like the same being reported in the beta forum (see discussion below). They are working on a fix. Except for a couple small issues for the most part it seems cosmetic to me also as Emby is still running. Try rebooting your NAS. That usually clears the problem for me. However, restarting Emby from the Dashboard starts the problem up again. Other things may too, but definitely a restart does. BTW: the new install path is /volume1/Emby and the new user is Emby
flakie 11
Thanks, not rebooted NAS since I did another uninstall/reinstall, after deleting every reference to emby and emby users on my NAS. The problem still persists. I will reboot as soon as the library scan is completed. For reference, since I did the delete of all emby files (including tmp/cache files), my install path has changed. It is now: /volume1/@appstore/EmbyServer and this seems to be the only reference to emby on my NAS now. Edit: A restart does fix the issue. Luke 37058
Right now it appears to only be a cosmetic issue in DSM.

Bram8en 0
To me it's not only cosmetic. It also seems unable to install/use plugins. This means no movie/tv show metadata or subtitles download. Was fine before this version.

Hjlfmir 13
Hi, I got an issue with pluggins not working and unable to install them (Emby 4.6.0.5). The fix was to connect with SSH to Emby/pluggin folder and remove manually .dll files of pluggins. After that, I was able to install them correctly. After 4.5.2.0 is successfully installed, emby is displayed as disabled in the package center, and it is automatically disabled after a few seconds after clicking enable, but emby can be used normally.
