Good evening,
I installed the latest version yesterday. Just also the update.
When I stop playback (movie or tv shows), the loading circle rotates for about 10 seconds. Only then can I start a new episode or something else. This was not the case with the 4.X version. I do not use the Native Mode.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Thank you. First you have to rule out issues from other plugins. I can already see an issue with the upnext plugin.

Please disable this plugin, try again and report back if the issue is still there.

Sorry, but this is the only way to track it down. As I can see, you have installed multiple skins and lot's of plugins.

Let's start by switching to default skin.

if same issue appears, deactivate:

script.metadata.editor

if same issue appears, deactivate:

script.embuary.helper

if still the issue continue with disabling plugins.

I am wondering if anybody read about passthrough issues with KODI 19 nighlies, on Shield with this addon running.

All was working at the beginning of the year but now KODI passthrough has an issue. DTS seems to work immediately but DTS-HD, Dolby TruHD and the others mostly not at startup. When I switch audiotracks mostly after some time it will work.

Don‘t know when this issue appeared, if it was the Shield Update from January, one of the KODI nightlies or what ever...

 

This addon can‘t have an influence on passthrough audio, or am I wrong?

I just upgraded to this version.  I see you don't have it listed under know issues, but I am still having the partially rewatched videos showing as unwatched issue.  It happens about one out of every three I try.

I can't record my screen because I laptop's Kodi is all messed up right now.  Here is a snippet of the log where I play an episode of 3rd Rock from the Sun that was already marked as watched.  I skip ahead and the stop the video and it then shows the correct resume point but is marked as unwatched.  You can see the play count is 7 on one line, and then a few down it says 0.  Also watched goes from True to False.

Also, have you tried doing 5 or 6?  Sometimes it takes a few tries before it happens.  And it doesn't show as unwatched until after E4K updates.

Something is wrong with 5.1.13

i have resetet my DB complete with the new version.
i have a Widget (plugin://script.skin.helper.widgets/?action=inprogress&mediatype=tvshows&tag=&reload=$INFO[Window(Home).Property(widgetreload-episodes)]) in my homescreen that shows the last watched TVShows. It works great before the DB reset. Now it shows the Series with the right Names but the Covers are from any different Serie?!?! An when i select one entry its jump to the series from the cover?!

Hmppfff i will go back to 5.1.10 and rebuild the DB again.

Understanding Question:
under /userdata/library/video the subdirs from emby for movies/tvshows are generated by e4k right?

I would use the recent.xml from the movies but i showed only the "not watched" Movies. I will that it show all New Movies no matter what watched State.
So i edit the recent.xml file and remove the:

  </rule>

But the xmls are recreated every time i start Kodi.
Is there a setting for this to create the xml without the playcount filtering?

I have now created a own xml file and placed it in /userdata/library/video.

Yes they are refreshed on each Kodi start, but you can use a copy of that file. Not sure if the complete folder is deleted and rebuild, probably you should place the nodefile in a new subfolder. e.g. .kodi/userdata/library/video/MyCustomNodes/mynodefile.xml

If you use this approach, you should also place the "index.xml" in the MyCustomNodes folder. It's used to label the subfolder content.

The "<rule field="tag" operator="is">movies</rule>" defines the label of the lib on Emby server.

If you have multiple "movie" libs on Emby, it's required to define the tag. If you remove it, all new movies will be shown. No matter where they are coming from.

@quickmicI updated to 5.1.13. After enabling the option to transcode HEVC content I played a few HEVC videos. They "Direct Played" instead of transcoding. Playback was choppy, in that occasionally audio would go out of sync and then the video would jump forward to catch up. I've attached the logs.
