Hello thanks for the great work with emby for kodi.
I have a little problem.
My settings are:
Raspberry Pi 3 + DietPi + Rclone (google drive).
My client is a Xiaomi mi stick.

Slow using the addon path option;
It works well with playing any video but it takes about 10 seconds to start.
When I uncheck the option force http the video does not play
I attached 2 log one with default settings the other with htto playback disabled.

Sorry if you got confused English is not my mother tongue.

Default Slow.log Disable Http Playback.log

Hello I recorded a video to show the loading time.
At first I waited for the kodi to connect to the server.
The first two videos are online (rclone).
The next video (major) is locally on my hd.
and lastly I played other videos via ftp without going through the server.

Ok, I don't see anything obvious here. @quickmic can look at it from the kodi side of things. But you are using rclone which is slow by nature.

Sorry, but that's simply not true.
Is it slower than local files? Yeah, sure everything else would be a miracle but it's definitely not slow.

I'm looking into that, I can see the delay in the logs.

Can you test with default skin? I see a lot of artwork queries...

Ok, não vejo nada óbvio aqui. @quickmic pode olhar para isso do lado kodi das coisas. Mas você está usando rclone, que é lento por natureza.

The first two videos are clone but the others are not.It seems that the problem is when the request goes through the server

Estou investigando isso, posso ver o atraso nos logs.

Você pode testar com a pele padrão? Eu vejo muitas perguntas sobre obras de arte ...

I will do the same test with estuary

I changed the skin seems to have decreased a few seconds in the default skin.Follow the two logs (server and kodi)

I mentioned where each media was to have an idea of the loading time, Rclone (it would be the online media) Local (media on my external hd connected to Pi)

embyserver new.txt kodi.log

Actually, the current plugin causes a delays due to code design.

Everything below 5 seconds is nothing to worry about. Your youtube video with default skin looks quite normal to me.

The best solution is to wait for one or two weeks till I release a new version.

Thanks for looking at this. Yes, a few seconds don't matter. The old skin (Eminence 2 MOD) is very old, your code must make reference to things that may already be broken etc. Thank you again.

I using a more or less a similar skin. The issue is related to artwork and listitem queries. Those queries goes straight to the server even if the are already in the local database.

I try to avoid server queries in the next release if not absolutely necessary. But there is still a lot of work to do...

Should queries occur because they are not fully cached yet correct? When using cache all attwork about 25k of images appear, I believe that until everything is in the database it will request the server. But thank you very much for the explanation, as the problem would be my box or my network
