Mbedford 5
Hi, The Emby Live TV pause buffer found at: C:\Users\Public\Videos\Pause Buffer is a whopping 21Gb and and just filed up my C:\ drive Obviously Windows is not NOT happy being out of space now. I cant see in Emby server configure where to change this path to another drive? Also can I make this 'Pause buffer' smaller? seems awe fully large for a pause buffer? Thanks for the support. PenkethBoy 2063
thats for Wintv not emby - hauppauge tuner app but gets used as emby talks to wintv etc usually a reboot of emby will clear the buffer also why does 21GB cause your pc problems? Mbedford 5
"usually a reboot of emby will clear the buffer" < Emby server, Hauppage WinTV and Emby theater are all on the same media center, it gets rebooted (shutdown) every evening at 11pm automatically and started up each morning. The wintv 10 buffer folder doesn't get cleaned. "also why does 21GB cause your pc problems?" < My Media centers hardware setup is a small fast SSD for the system (C:\) drive and several large HDD's for all the media files. I just found the config in WinTV 10, and changed recording buffer to point to another bigger HDD. Seems strange why this live TV buffer needs to be so big though. Happy2Play 8138
More discussion found here. Doesn't look like Emby really controls the pause buffer of WinTV at least from a restart standpoint.
