Media Loading Screen is Not Unicode Compatible

On the current version of the Roku application the loading screen does not show Unicode characters. All other screens and overlays appear to display these correctly.

It is because those "loading" screens are the internal Roku video player interstitial buffering screen and/or timeline scrubbing with BIF. Those screens presently use the internal Roku fonts. There is no way to customize just those fonts. I've even tried using low-level crude hacks to get custom fonts into that interface but cannot. We would need to design our own buffering screen w/timeline scrubbing with BIF. This has been discussed before because those native Roku interfaces provide no mechanism to support languages Roku doesn't intend to support. We support Russian in Cyrillic but that interstitial screen wll not. We apologize to the users this affects. It is on our roadmap and our issue tracker to eventually fix this issue. It is only during those brief moments you will see the issue. We will get there eventually. :)
