DingoPD 5 Posted August 25, 2020 Share Posted August 25, 2020 Would you folks please consider making subtitle extraction on the fly a 'per device' setting instead of a global one? The reason for this request is that single device having problems with delayed subtitles forces transcode for all other devices. For example the chromecast dongle on my dumb tv experiences up to 5 minute delay before subtitles show up, the other devices on local network do not have that problem. Fixing the chromecast problem by disabling subtitles extraction on the fly works, but it means that all the other emby web clients and roku streams get transcoded, even though they don't normally experience subtitle delays. Being able to enable/disable on the fly sub extraction on specific devices would greatly reduce the load on the media server. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
