cool.

are you selecting the series from the dropdown of existing series, or are you pressing the "+" button to identify the series?

Pressing +

It's very bizarre, I've started going through them, cleared completed and went to page 2 and started from the bottom of the list, went back after it took me to dashboard, cleared completed again, now I'm not having the issue?

Okay, there are a couple areas of functionality at are missed.

It's close! really close to working properly, but... always a but... I'm finding at least two things that need fixing quickly.

Brb!

Darn, I have to go cook food for the masses.

I was just getting this sorted.

Should have something working very soon!

It got really exciting right when I have to stop programming.  Go figure.

No rush mate. I've saved a few of the episodes to try with the next version. Take your time and enjoy cooking for the masses!

WAIT A MIN!!!!!

Think there may be a bit of a problem.......

Just checked my watch folder and all the files it says it's sorted that weren't the duplicate files, ie new files have not been moved even tho Auto Organize said they had been, they are still in my watch folder and not being recognised by the plugin even after a restart.

Might roll back to the last version.

Yes, the Ring of Death is gone, the display is back!😊
But it's true. The files are shown as sorted, but are not sorted and are logically there again at the next scan....
But at least I can see that now!🤣

I know what the problem is... And know how to fix it.

It is the "+" button.

If the item is "skipped/existing", and instead of using the "+" button to identify it, you use the series drop-down.

It will sort fine.

When the "+" button is used, it attaches provider data to the backend request.

In the back end, the code looks for the attached provider data to decide how to process the file.

Throws it for a loop.

I'm going to hide the "+" button when the item is "skipped/existing", and make sure that the series drop-down is populated with the item (to save time).

I got this!

Been working on this for a while.

I just need to wait for an item to sort.

I believe I've covered most if the bases now.

Except, the last thing I have to figure out is forcing an item to sort after it has been placed in the "waiting for user input" state.

Emby does sort in the display the files(existing series), but the missing episodes are not named and moved.

And he automatically recognized the consequences (Is also correct). I did not have to use either + button or dropdown.

But sorting works for both series and movies in the right language. So that worked.
If they are still moved now, the thing should be in the box.

Movies that are not yet available will definitely go without any problems.

Hmm....

Ok so looking at the 'Blakes 7' files that I thought I renamed with the latest version, it appears they have not been moved correctly or name correctly.

Seems that it;s moved the files not even to the root directory but a level up from the root directory and just renamed them to "TV", see below.

By the way, listed movies are not moved either. There is also no option to overwrite

Were all those items "Skipped Existing" items prior to sorting or were they new items?

Edit:

I've fixed that actually. Last night.

I'll post a fix here one moment...

They were skipped exisiting items, the ones that I did when I was being thrown back to the dashboard.

I have this fixed. You used the "+" button to identify them right?

overwrite exceptions are working correctly now with v1.6.2.4

but there's a visual thing, the correctly not organized duplicates that remain in sort folder,  get marked as "complete"

version 1.6.2.5

This will fix the issues with sorting.

There are still some issues when an item is in the waiting state, but I can fix that next.

Emby.AutoOrganize_v1.6.2.5.zip 136.63 kB · 2 downloads

Still having the same issue, exactly the same, file is moved to one level up to the root folder and named TV.S01E01.mkv

Also when trying to identify a new show, it get the error message 'No TV librariers are configured'

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news on this.

1.6.2.5 shouldn't have the "+" available for items that are skipped existing.

This is how it is working for me. Are you seeing the same thing?

1. I select the "Sort" button in the table

auto_organize_skip_ex_1.thumb.png.7af3a833c8b020ef68ba932e3361275d.png

2. I am shown the confirm dialog, and I select "Identify"

auto_organize_skip_ex_2.thumb.png.10426b4565dc8f588eb4cf3f2e71b4ca.png

3. This opens the dreaded "File Organizer"  Which should have the "Skipped/Existing" item values filled out, minus the "Root Folder" value which needs to be selected.

auto_organize_skip_ex_3.thumb.png.af70fd0676b9158e12bbfc6e4f7104bd.png

Also, the "+" button is not available for "Skipped/Existing" items because we don't have to identify these (they all ready exist in the library).

Is this what you experience as well?

Yes this is what I get, however once I select the root folder and press ok it proceeds to move the file to the folder above the selected root folder and name the file TV.SxxExx.ext
My directory structure is;
\emby-primary\TV

It is moving these files to \emby-primary\ it's labelling them 'TV' instead of the show name 'Blake's 7' (which is odd as the folder is called TV, could this be a code issue with the directory naming?)

Also with .25 I can't organize any other files other than Skipped/Exsisting files as it give me the Not libraries are cogfigured message too

A little  more of what I experience.

After selecting a Root folder which is different from what emby recognizes as the series root folder. I am greeted with this dialog

auto_organize_skip_ex_4.thumb.png.8d2f47c0ec96f099223d941235830e21.png

I press "OK", and the  options are filled out with the new location.

auto_organize_skip_ex_5.png.456898a81bb8e8c0acb15a7ef334eec0.png

The item begins sorting

auto_organize_skip_ex_6.thumb.png.d1b0f25893f8160af9fd8b95d8bff39e.png

Checking the folder I see this:

The folder structure is created properly.

auto_organize_skip_ex_7.png.0ecfb3a5ba80bdac38004af03b3978bf.png

Perhaps I'm missing something when creating the folder Path.

What does your folder path look like? Can I have an example?

No problem, this is what is happening;

image.png.14a51b231aa6e589191320b70d3d0614.png

The files are being moved to G:\Shared Drives\Backup1\emby-primary\

instead of;

G:\Shared Drives\Backup1\emby-primary\TV\Blake's 7\
