paddy-emby 2
Should Emby Playlists sync to Emby For Kodi? They're not appearing on my Odroid N2+/CoreELEC/Kodi 18.7 box. but different threads here seem to say different things, either: No. They're not supported. Yes. With these menu options/button presses (which are no longer valid) No mention at all, which suggests it might be working? All the threads are 2+ years old however, so has the support been improved in the meantime, and if so, what do I need to do to show them in Kodi? paddy-emby 2
Using your suggestion I can add them to the "My Media" menu, as if they were syncing normally. Embuary Settings > Window configuration:Home and hubs. Select "Edit menu configuration". Press + to add a menu. Select edit (pencil icon) Then select: Add-on > Video Add-on > Emby > Playlists > Create menu item to here. One major bug is that the items in the playlists are reordered alphabetically. Rather defeats the point of a playlist.... I'm looking into a way round this. Edit: looks like this was an issue in 2018, still a problem now. paddy-emby 2
It appears the added playlists are treated as folders, so their default ordering is "alphabetical", which destroys the set order of the playlist. There doesn't appear to be a way round this. Seeing as this has been an issue for 2 years, what are the chances of a fix?

rbronco21 11
Ordering doesn't seem to work in next gen. Is this a known problem, or am I doing something wrong?

Most people wants the order of the playlist, not sorted by title etc. However, sure you can order them by Kodi's stock functions. rbronco21 11
Sorry for such a poor post. I had multiple tabs open. I want the order to match Emby's order. I had another post open about the Marvel Cinematic Universe being ordered in Emby and not in Kodi. I have the exact same playlist and desire to order it in watch order. joncy92 5
Has this issue with playlist ordering been fixed for emby-next-gen? I've also noticed when browsing from playlists, the metadata and media info is missing for all items

Yes, this was fixed in 4.x and also next-gen.

Yes, this was fixed in 4.x and also next-gen. Emby next gen version is 5.3.2. It could be the created Order but I can't remember. Either way the order is not the same as what's in Emby itself. Do you know why the metadata is also not down there?
rbronco21 11
5.3.2 in Kodi 19.1. I have no idea where the order comes from when I do Sort By->Default, but it definitely isn't the order I see in Emby. Maybe there's another step?
quickmic 1330
Kodi bug. "default" only works on init loading playlist etc. Set to default, restart Kodi (probably exit list and go back is enough). and it should work. If you change the order, there is no way back unless you reload the list (or restart Kodi).
rbronco21 11
It doesn't load in the right order. Should it load in the order you created the list in, or can you reorder the list in Emby and have it update in Kodi after a reload?
