nanohits 18
Hi All, When I add new TV shows, it shows up in the latest TV shows, but when I add new episodes to an already existing TV show, it doesnt show up in the Latest TV Shows. Is there some setting or am I missing something. Coming over from Plex as that shows up in Latest shows so not sure how Emby works in that regard. Also I noticed the page itself doesnt refresh when a new show or movie is added? Thanks
Luke 37008
Hi there, have you used the metadata editor to compare the date added value of that episode to other recently added ones?

So maybe I should edit those last ones that didnt show up to change it? 15 hours ago, nanohits said: Also I noticed the page itself doesnt refresh when a new show or movie is added? nanohits 18
So the question wasnt answered about the Page refresh?
Carlo 4330
It doesn't refresh in the sense it looks for new content since you first entered the page. If you back out to the main menu and come back in the new content will be present.
nanohits 18
Oh thats a bummer. Do you have any intention of doing it liek the way Plex does it without having to manually refresh pages? Same goes to see clients who have logged in etc?

If you edit the metadata for the episode, then underneath the date added field it will explain how you can control where that value comes from. Does this answer your question on that? lundblad 5
@Luke I have trouble with my tv shows library that the most recently added episodes do not end up at the top. Right now i tested to add 3 episodes of 3 series. 1. added latest episode of Proffesionals - ended up at the top so it apparently works as it should. 2. added latest episode of S.W.A.T - does not work. ends up far down 3. added latest episode of Mandalorian - does not work. ends up far down Are there any settings I need to fix? Just moved from docker (synology) to synology .spk installation file downloaded from emby website. had same problem in docker. movies works fine with "date added" See uploaded pictures : 1. https://ibb.co/8jx3pcv - 2. https://ibb.co/TY0Y3Ph - 3. https://ibb.co/7gFQVv3 - 4. https://ibb.co/K9qVD66 - 5. https://ibb.co/1LJyPCj Edited December 18, 2020 by lundblad
lundblad 5
lol, i think i know why now. The professionals has no .nfo file for that episode. The mandalorian episode has .nfo file with date inside " DATE..........: 11-12-2020" Is it possible to ignore the nfo files? Whta will "Metadata savers - nfo" do if i check it ? ( picture numer 5) ? speechles 1917
It is because you need to check the advanced tab of your TV library. At the top will be what you want to change. Change this from use file creation date to use date scanned into the library. Edited December 18, 2020 by speechles

But it's only going to work for the media that comes after the change, right?
