is it possible to add a shared networked drive, on another Mac running Mavericks, on my LAN ?
If so is there a thread on that?

ah, the picture I posted shows that the drives are already shared.
My question is how to add them as Emby librarys.

not sure I understand.  The path in the snap above.
That is the LAN IP of my MacPro with 4 internal drives that have media in various folders.

It looks like you've done it.  Is there another part to the question?

weird.  it wasn't showing up with media, just the "icon" of the folder.
Then all of a sudden - poof!  I guess the scan was taking longer?
In any case, see if I get as lucky with the others.
I have way too much media .....
Thanks,

With over 100K videos on my system I'd say you can never have enough.  LOL

Simply enter the path to the shared folder in the directory chooser popup.

yes.  got it.

But may I suggest adding clearer info for Mac users, on this page.
https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001159319-library-setup.

Once I added the path, the scan took longer than I expected so I thought the path was wrong or not working.

Perhaps an example path like this.

/Network/Volume/Name/Users/name/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Movies

Shared Network Folder path
\\192.168.#.###

yes, saw and read that.  Just sayin, a little additional info wouldn't be bad.

The optional network path actually does not impact the library scan. In fact it's not used by the server itself, only by emby client apps.

update.

In order to keep the ability to to update the emby server app, I've changed from a cMP3,1 to a 2018 mini

The drives must be shared from the LAN'd other computer that they are actually mounted in.

As compared to neked drives themselves on the LAN.

Then their path is easily found with:

/Volumes/YourDriveNameHere/Music
