Is there any chance that the subtitles be solid yellow and with a thicker border? Something like the style that kodi implements.

I think it is much easier to read.

I presume you have set the subtitle settings to be text colour 'Yellow' and 'Drop Shadow' to be Uniform ?

On WebOS 5.10.45 - this looks exactly the same as the Kodi format (yellow, black outline) - it's possible this has not been implemented on the earlier WebOS - but v4.80 looks pretty new...

It is this year's TV model. The newest for this region.
I thought it was something related to emby.

Yes, but not as good as Kodi.
