vanes32 0
Hi guys, i need an advise. I am going to add gpu to my emby server (ubuntu20.04) for hardware accelerated transcoding. Which one do you recommend from these two, Quadro P400 or Radeon Pro WX 2100 I know quadro will be fine, but it has limited streams, i know that i can patch it and unlock limitations. The main question is: Will transcoding work on wx2100 ?
BAlGaInTl 279
I don't think the Radeon Pro WX 2100 would be supported. The Quadro P400 looks like it's limited to 1 stream for NVENC - https://developer.nvidia.com/video-encode-decode-gpu-support-matrix
vanes32 0
@Luke, hi, can you please confirm that wx 2100 is not supported and the better way is to buy 1050ti/p400 ??
Luke 36880
I haven't tried it, but why wouldn't it be supported?

In amd driver Release Notes i found: OpenCL™ 2.0 (not supported for Radeon™ Pro WX 2100 and Radeon™ Pro WX 3100) How this will affect emby transcoding functionality? I was thinking the drivers would support that card under Linux. It may work on Windows.
