Nobody spoke about functionality.. just the design overall to have it more consistent

Yes, the Plex App has definitely more direct play and subtitle capabilities

Other than dual-layer PGS and fully-formatted SSA subs, what more direct-play capabilities do they have?

Hi ebr,

full direct play of Vobsub and Avi Container are two things which are coming directly in mind. Especially the vobsup support is a feature what i miss, because all my ripped DVD are contains this format and ORC is always extra work.

The subtitles should be addressed soon.  The AVI container may be a bit more difficult but we'll see.

A more Emby theatre look and feel would be great for the Android TV app. Also the splash screen when opening the app feels outdated. Any way to change this? Somewhere an hidden option?

Did you know you can install this version on your Android TV device?

This will give you the Emby Theater look you're after.

Thank you for pointing this out to me, unfortunately i don’t seem to be able to login. 😩

-edit login is fixed, unfortunately the performance of the app is really sloppy on an Sony Android TV, scrolling is anything but smooth. On what device are you running it?
