SnakeFighter 0
Hi Everyone I've just set up Emby on a Raspberry Pi 4 as a home server. Among other functions, I would like to use my LG TV (55UF860V from about 2015) to play videos from the server via the built-in "Smart Share" client. In the main, this works quite well, but I seem to be having difficulty with some files, particularly HEVC video, I think. I can browse the library, and start the video. There's a few seconds of buffering, then about 3-4 seconds of video, then a few seconds of buffering again. This continues throughtout playback. I can watch the same video stream no problem on other devices (Android tablet and iPad), and I have previously used Kodi (libreelec) as a server for this scenario without a problem. I know... I could use the LG Emby app, which is fine, but it would be nice to (a) understand what's going on and (b)have the choice. Attached is the ffmpeg-transcode log. This was the only log generated at the time I was attempting to play the video. Video info below. Any assistance appreciated. Luke 36880
Hi, I notice you've customized some server transcoding settings. The first thing I would do in this situation when having an issue is revert back to default: >>>>> Non-Default Encoder Parameters Warning EncoderParametersH264LibX.Preset: Original: veryfast Actual: superfast Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
SnakeFighter 0
Hi Luke Thanks for engaging. I've changed the setting to veryfast, result is same as before. I've attached a new log. ffmpeg-transcode-ba862023-519e-4181-9f5f-2e28ac759a5a_1.txt
