axxe 1
Hi I am running Emby Server behind an nginx proxy. The nginx proxy has the ssl certificates and connects internally via http to the emby server. I can access it fine using a browser to the address https://<my domain>, and I can access it through https://app.emby.media, as well as through the android app. The emby server advertises its WAN address as http://<my domain>:80, rather than the https://<my domain>:443 as I would prefer. To get around this I have set up redirection in nginx so that all requests that are attempted to port 80 are redirected to 443. When I ask Alexa "Ask M.B. Home whats next" The blue light stays on for about 15 seconds then looks to timeout. Alexa says nothing, not even connection error then the blue light just goes off. I am wondering whether Alexa will not event attempt to connect to the "insecure" http address published by my emby server? The problem is I can't get the emby server to advertise an https address unless I provide certificates, which I don't want to do as I already have a certificate on the proxy. Any advice or further troubleshooting steps I can try? Thanks Vance

axxe 1
@pir8radio - Thanks that was the setting I was missing. I am now getting a response from Alexa - a bit clunky for music, but I will see how it fares as I get used to it. Vance
