Hi All,

this is my first post, I joined to post a bug, I tried searching but could not find this error, nor in-fact, could I find a reference on how to post bugs, so here it is.

EDIT: now I created an account I can now see "How to Report a Problem", odd I could not find this as a normal user.

Emby 4.5.0.12 (beta) on an odroid C2, works fantastically streaming full HD direct play to my LG tv, it has replaced my Kodi NUC, bought lifetime premiere, and I have not looked back; except m3u.

I add a m3u url for a set of free-legal stations, and it does not work.

I tried the exact same m3u url on a separate install on my Mac, and it worked first time, all the channels appeared and could play - latest mac version i could find was 4.4.2.

I downgraded the odroid to the same version to check if it was a beta problem, but no, same issue.

Sorry if this is the wrong spot!

Matthew

Can you try refreshing the guide data in emby server and then attach that server log? Thanks.

Hi Luke,

Did not see your reply until now; however, with the latest beta (4.5.0.13) it began working - well it would list the channels as expected. It would not play them; then I recalled I set the user settings for transcoding to "disallow" as previously I needed this setting for smooth -direct play on my LG tv.

I am pleased to say turning disallow OFF meant these tv streams started working!!! (but kinda broke the nas streaming - very very long time to start, and seemed to buffer even though it said it was direct-play [ geek stats]). I think if i set up another userprofile with the transcoding setting for streaming tv it should work around this problem.

Happy to provide more logs if you would still want them.

We do provide a warning of this underneath the option, that it could lead to playback failures.
