192KHZ TrueHD tracks causing audio and video de-sync.

This issue affects Plex as well. I contacted NVIDIA Shield Development about it, provided samples and steps to reproduce the problem, and after talking to quite a rude administrator, he told me it was not something on their end.

Sample file.

When played through Emby or Plex using the JAPANESE TrueHD(5.1) track, it will freeze 10s in, then resume, but keep freezing / hitching every so often. When played through Kodi or VLC, they play fine.

Using the Japanese AC3 or English TrueHD Track (48KHZ), it plays fine.  This is not related to the other TrueHD issues NVIDIA had going on, they fixed those in hotfixes and pretty much every TrueHD file except 192KHZ play fine. Seeing as both Plex and Emby use exoplayer, it seems related.

In Jellyfin, I switched to libVLC and it played, but still hitches, but didn't completely freeze.

The NVIDIA Shield Admin was VERY aggressive in telling me the issue was not on their end, so I figured I'd post here about it. There's a thread about it on the Plex forums as well, but no response there.

If it happens in one file and in one audio track then I'd suspect that the audio track is the problem.

Same. But nvidia says it isn't. A lot of people mentioning it on plex, emby reddit, and nvidia forums.

The nvidia administrator was quite adamant it was not a fault on their end.
