Hi,

In the embycon context menu for a series AND seasons, can you please create a new entry for shuffling?

An ability to shuffle would be great.

This functionality exists in kodi with the addon play random

https://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:Play_Random_Videos

Hopefully it can be re created in the embycon content menu

Let me know if I can assist in testing

Thanks!

Yes! Exactly thanks

And also extending it to the show level.

I think play all only appears on a season level (which includes all seasons)

But it'd be good if I could do both play all and shuffle from the show level without needing to drill into the show.

Thanks!

Its been a while since I wrote this add-on so I had to go back and have a look at how it worked.

The Play all action in the EmbyCon econtext menu creates a new Kodi playlist and starts it playing.

You can access this playlist in Kodi (either in the music now playing screen or while something is playing go back to the media list and select Current Playlist from the slide out menu that appears when you hit LEFT) and then set the play order to random.

This is the only reliable way of doing this.

Hi

Yes thanks for this

I tried it, it works when items are already in the playlist but doesn't work when embycon first sends items to the playlist.

Eg: to shuffle a show in Embycon I need to Play All, then the pilot starts playing. Then go back to library, click left, click current playlist, click left, toggle shuffle off, toggle shuffle on, go back to the show, fast forward to next episode.

As you can imagine that's a bit too much for the ordinary user and day to day casual watching of series.

Thanks!

Simpler

Hit play all to play a season

When the first item plays hit 'c' or whatever button you use to bring up the context menu normally

The playlist should now be showing

Move left and select shuffle

Then scroll up to the first item and hit enter

This is the most direct why to do it. It is only a few button presses.
