Roku devices not generating PIN

I have had a Premiere subscription for several years and have confirmed that it is still active.    I recently added a HDHomeRun to the network and attached it to the server.     If I log in using a web browser, I am able to view live TV perfectly using Emby.

However, all of my Roku TV's will not allow me to log in using EMBY Connect.     On all sets, when I go to the "Sign in with Emby Connect", I receive the screen.... but no PIN!     Even if I click on "Generate New Pin", no pin is displayed.

I deleted the Roku app, restarted the device, reinstalled the Roku app.    No change

so, I deleted the Roku app, restarted the device, installed the Roku Beta app.    No change

Is there a problem with the Roku app or is Emby not responding to the request?

Hi.  Connect and Premiere are not associated in any way.  However, what you describe would be an indication that your Roku device is being blocked from accessing our servers (perhaps by a firewall of some sort or router configuration) and that would also block Premiere validation.

Can you check that?

Good lead, but not fixed.     Tried 3 different access points (on different routers and IP's --- I have a total of 5 static IP's to choose from), one TV is hard wired ethernet directly to a 4th router.       I even tried "tethering" to my cell phone as a test.      All did the same thing.

All other apps (Plex, Netflix, Hulu, Disney, etc) are all working with no problems.

Any other ideas or hints that I may have missed?

  • Solution

Please force the update to your firmware and it should fix this.

Thanks.

Yea!  Success!    You hit the nail on the head!     I forced the Roku to do a firmware update and it is working properly now.    Thanks for the help!
