Teknowiztx 2
I get an error on every movie except 1 when I try to play it. Tells me there are no compatible streams available. Since I am the ONLY user on the system and am using it locally, not sure what to do. I have only uploaded a small number of my movies to test this and only one works. I am completely new to Emby and was giving it a try versus DS Video. Not sure what to do next. I have attached current embysrvr.txt 20200525-embyserver.txt
Luke 36881
Hi, it looks like emby server is being denied permission to read the contents of the files: file:/volume1/Media Files/Movies/2 Days in Paris (2007).mp4: Permission denied You'll need to ensure the embysvr user on your system has read access. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
Teknowiztx 2
I followed the guide to set this up, it scans the files, shows all of the contents, when I click on a particular movie, all but 1 don't work. If permission on the directory is wrong I don't understand how 1 works and all others don't. Where would I check this permission?
Solution Luke 36881 Posted May 25, 2020 Solution Share Posted May 25, 2020 You may want to check permissions on the file directly because the file could have it's own permission set. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
Teknowiztx 2
When I mount the directory on my Mac this is what the permissions look like. The only file that works says everyone has r/w access, but I am unable to change it on the Mac. Went in to the server and changed in file station and applied to all subfolders. My only concern at this point is if I have compromised any other security by doing so. Thanks
Luke 36881
@@levander and @azrich may have some tips on that. Thanks for the feedback.
