Completely changing plugin configuration

So I have gotten to the point where I am completely rewriting the core of my Plugin, which also calls for a complete change in the plugin configuration object and that brings up some concerns

 

How will Emby handle complete changes like this to the configuration object? If I just completely changed the Plugin configuration object, would there be any repercussions for users who already have a configuration saved based on the old Plugin configuration?

If you're removing properties from the objects it just means that data will be lost and they may need to configure again. Other than that you should be fine.
