Hello members,

Im looking for a plugin that I can install on my emby server that allow to load a list of satelite channels .m3u generated by my satelite receiver.

I see this as an alternative because I cant install the "HRTunerProxy" on my satelite receiver as mentioned on the following post:

https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/52762-enigma2-livetvdvr-support/page-1

In your opinion wich plugin is better to load a .m3u?

Thanks in advance for your help

Cheers!

Hi, why do you need a plugin? You can just import using Emby's m3u Live tv tuner feature.

In fact I have already tried that but without sucess.

I manage to load a previous .m3u channel list but then even restarting the server I dont found anything on the LiveTV tab.

Maybe because Im not running a Premiere subscription.

I also have already tried the 'IPTV' default plugin that comes with the instalation but I had no success also nomather I try the option the 'Http' or 'File' in 'Protocol' options...

Yes that's correct about the Live TV features.

The IPTV plugin can only import single streams, not entire channel lists. In other words, you'd have to add each channel individually using the video url for that channel.

Hi

I run a very similar setup.

I have a zgemma box with 2 tuners and Andys HDHRProxy installed.

Emby with premiere uses this for all OTA channels just like a real HDHR except i get the benefit of accessing all the channels on two muxes simultaneously. In the Uk that means I can record all 5 major HD channels only using one tuner!

Then for IPTV i have a seperate m3u tuner setup in emby.

Dont try and mix the 2 on the emigma box.

Easy.

Thanks again for your reply...

But not even a single stream Im capable opening with 'IPTV'...I really dont know why :(

As I said I have tried already open it as a 'file' or 'http url'...no luck.

Now on my TV I use the app 'ssiptv' to open the chanel list from my satelite receiver but know that I have installed Emby, my ideia was to get a similiar app installed on Emby that could enable me to open the same chanel list. This way I would have all integrated on Emby.

What url did you import into the iptv plugin?

The problem is that I cant install HDHRProxy on my receiver because it has an old Openpli4.0 image...maybe the only way was if i get the .ipk file maybe I could get install it manually...

What url did you import into the iptv plugin?

I just open the Openwebinf of my openpli4.0 imagem that is installed on my satelite receiver then I copy the link of the respective channel and then paste that into the 'url' field of 'IPTV'

It would be something like this:

http://192.168.10.3:8001/1:0:1:1070:7E5:2:11A0000:0:0:0:

Where 129.168.10.3 is the LAN IP of my Dreambox and the 8001 the streaming port...

And does that url return video? What happens when you put that same url into a browser?

Hi again Luke,

In fact the url is more like this one:

http://192.168.10.3/web/stream.m3u?ref=1:0:1:1C3:68:53:CE40000:0:0:0:&name=Sport%20TV%201%20HD

Where 192.168.10.3 is the LAN IP of my satelite receiver.

Answering your question, when I open the link in a browser it automaticaly opens VLC and starts to play the respetive channel.

If I choose save the option 'save link as...' instead of 'copy link adress' on my OpenWebInf and then open the respective saved .m3u file with wordpad, it as this content:

#EXTM3U
#EXTVLCOPT--http-reconnect=true
#EXTINF:-1,Sport TV 1 HD
#EXTVLCOPT:program=451
http://192.168.10.3:8001/1:0:1:1C3:68:53:CE40000:0:0:0:
Thanks again for your help on this...

OK I don't think the iptv plugin supports that right now. It expects a raw video url, not an m3u manifest.

Can you please give me an example of it?

You mean that the url must be pointing to a video hosted over the internet?

Thanks again

Correct.

So I guess I have to forget 'IPTV' for that...

Do you know if the plugin 'VU+' is suitable to do that?

Despite it was developed for VU+ receivers it says: "Allows MediaBrowser to pull in TV data and video streams from Vu+/Enigma2"

I already tried it too but without success :(

Any tip on this?

Thanks again

I'm not an expert on Vu+, but that will go through our Live TV feature which requires Emby Premiere, so at that point you might as well use the Live TV M3U tuner feature.

Yeah...you're right..

So for now I will forget this possibility :(

Thanks for all the support

Cheers! ;)
