Faxhagen 0 Posted April 29, 2020 Share Posted April 29, 2020 Hello Sorry for bringing this up again. I have read a lot of old threads (including https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/56616-3311-dvd-absolute-episode-ordering/), but I simply can't get this to work. I want Batman the Animated Series to be in the DVD order, because the normal order makes no sense. I have set Batman the Animated Series to be displayed in DVD order in the meta information for the series. This is how I have my files organized: This is how they turn out: What am I doing wrong? Happy2Play 8281 Posted April 29, 2020 Share Posted April 29, 2020 I just tested on with database only metadata and had no issues with this series. aired dvd Have you tried removing all metadata? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Faxhagen 0 Posted April 29, 2020 Author Share Posted April 29, 2020 I have tried deleting the meta data multiple times. I have also tried placing nfo's from an external application. I can't get anything to work. Is there some sort of the secret trick I am missing? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Happy2Play 8281 Posted April 29, 2020 Share Posted April 29, 2020 I had it not work once testing with nfo files, but after deleting all nfo files and refreshing the series I have not had any issues. Only other possibility may be metadata language. What is your metadata language? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Faxhagen 0 Posted April 30, 2020 Author Share Posted April 30, 2020 Well my language was Danish before, but now i tried deleting all the nfo's and setting the language to English. I still get the same order (ie not DVD order). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Faxhagen 0 Posted May 8, 2020 Author Share Posted May 8, 2020 (edited) Did you check the tvdb website to see what they have for that series in dvd order in your chosen language? Yes, both Danish and English have the correct DVD order on TVDB. Edited May 8, 2020 by Faxhagen Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Faxhagen 0 Posted May 9, 2020 Author Share Posted May 9, 2020 (edited) Do you use season folders? Yes. They are called "Season 01", "Season 02", and "Season 03". I am trying to migrate from Plex to Emby. Plex can handle BTAS in DVD order from reading my folder data. Edited May 9, 2020 by Faxhagen Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Faxhagen 0 Posted May 12, 2020 Author Share Posted May 12, 2020 (edited) Do you have nfo files? I do, but there is a problem with them. Only episode 7-27 generates NFO's in season 1. Missing is ep 1-6. The content of the NFO is also wrong. I got the same issue with season 2 and 3. Edited May 12, 2020 by Faxhagen Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Pasidua 0 Posted May 31, 2020 Share Posted May 31, 2020 (edited) Having a similar issue with another TV show (The Bible, TVDB 265720). I add in the series and it loads in aired order. I go to metadata editor and change to DVD order, save, and then have it replace all metadata, but nothing changes. Have tried switching to English (TVDB does not have my language for this TV show) for this show, but doing so (and updating metadata afterwards) produces no change whatsoever other than changing the language of the show's title and description. My naming is: The Bible (2013) → Season 1 → The Bible (2013) S01E01.mkv → The Bible (2013) S01E02.mkv → The Bible (2013) S01E03.mkv → The Bible (2013) S01E04.mkv → The Bible (2013) S01E05.mkv → The Bible (2013) S01E06.mkv → The Bible (2013) S01E07.mkv → The Bible (2013) S01E08.mkv → The Bible (2013) S01E09.mkv → The Bible (2013) S01E10.mkv 265720.tar.7z Edited May 31, 2020 by Pasidua Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Pasidua 0 Posted May 31, 2020 Share Posted May 31, 2020 (edited) Well that's for TVDB episode ID 4475670 (called 'Beginnings' at 120 min long) which only exists as an aired episode. The first DVD episode is ID 7478375 and is called 'In the Beginning' and is only 50 minutes long. The rest of 'Beginnings' is distributed into additional DVD episodes, which is why there are twice as many DVD episodes as aired ones. But that episode name does not even appear in their api metadata, only via their website. I can only assume this will not be fixed until they release their v4 api update. But they have given no timeframe of when that will happen. As shown in the en.xml DVD order metadata is broken per their information. <Episode> <id>4475670</id> <Combined_episodenumber>1</Combined_episodenumber> <Combined_season>1</Combined_season> <DVD_chapter>0</DVD_chapter> <DVD_discid/> <DVD_episodenumber>0</DVD_episodenumber> <DVD_season>0</DVD_season> <Director>|Crispin Reece|</Director> <EpImgFlag/> <EpisodeName>Beginnings</EpisodeName> <EpisodeNumber>1</EpisodeNumber> <FirstAired>2013-03-03</FirstAired> <GuestStars/> <IMDB_ID/> <Language>en</Language> <Overview>Noah endures God's wrath;
