Pulseeey 6 Posted April 6, 2020 Share Posted April 6, 2020 Hello, I just redid my media file/folder restructure to improve it and did a rescan however now Emby for Kodi won't sync in anything beyond 15 episodes of the first season of any show (even if there is more than 15 episdes in it). They show as expected in Emby, and I've tried updating, repairing and removing/adding the library via the addon. Folder structure is now like so, if that matters: /TV Shows/Two and a Half Men (2003)/Season 1/Two and a Half Men - S01E24 - Can You Feel My Finger.mp4 Snippet of the log from Kodi for one of the shows whilst running the repair. It seems to detect the seasons, but then doesn't add the episodes for some reason. 2020-04-06 12:23:18.322 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> ADD tvshow [118/124/50] 43768: Two and a Half Men 2020-04-06 12:23:18.569 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> UPDATE season [50/381] Season 1: 951011 2020-04-06 12:23:18.602 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> UPDATE season [50/382] Season 2: 951008 2020-04-06 12:23:18.636 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> UPDATE season [50/383] Season 3: 951006 2020-04-06 12:23:18.669 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> UPDATE season [50/384] Season 4: 951005 2020-04-06 12:23:18.702 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> UPDATE season [50/385] Season 5: 951010 2020-04-06 12:23:18.736 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> UPDATE season [50/386] Season 6: 951012 2020-04-06 12:23:18.769 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> UPDATE season [50/387] Season 7: 951007 2020-04-06 12:23:18.802 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> UPDATE season [50/388] Season 8: 951009 2020-04-06 12:23:19.005 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> ADD episode [50/381/4918/5272] 951164: Pilot (Most Chicks Won't Eat Veal) 2020-04-06 12:23:19.125 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> ADD episode [50/381/4919/5273] 951154: Big Flappy Bastards 2020-04-06 12:23:19.175 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> ADD episode [50/381/4920/5274] 951160: Go East on Sunset Until You Reach the Gates of Hell 2020-04-06 12:23:19.253 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> ADD episode [50/381/4921/5275] 951162: If I Can't Write My Chocolate Song, I'm Going to Take a Nap 2020-04-06 12:23:19.311 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> ADD episode [50/381/4922/5276] 951155: The Last Thing You Want to Do Is Wind Up with a Hump 2020-04-06 12:23:19.412 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> ADD episode [50/381/4923/5277] 951142: Did You Check With the Captain of the Flying Monkeys? 2020-04-06 12:23:19.499 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> ADD episode [50/381/4924/5278] 951152: If They Do Go Either Way, They're Usually Fake 2020-04-06 12:23:19.574 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> ADD episode [50/381/4925/5279] 951156: Twenty-Five Little Pre-Pubers Without a Snootful 2020-04-06 12:23:19.690 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> ADD episode [50/381/4926/5280] 951158: Phase One, Complete 2020-04-06 12:23:19.759 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> ADD episode [50/381/4927/5281] 951148: Merry Thanksgiving 2020-04-06 12:23:19.839 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> ADD episode [50/381/4928/5282] 951144: Alan Harper, Frontier Chiropractor 2020-04-06 12:23:19.944 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> ADD episode [50/381/4929/5283] 951146: Camel Filters + Pheromones 2020-04-06 12:23:20.042 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> ADD episode [50/381/4930/5284] 951165: Sarah Like Puny Alan 2020-04-06 12:23:20.122 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> ADD episode [50/381/4931/5285] 951163: I Can't Afford Hyenas 2020-04-06 12:23:20.227 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.core.tvshows -> ADD episode [50/381/4932/5286] 951159: Round One to the Hot Crazy Chick 2020-04-06 12:23:20.260 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.database -> [emby] 126 rows updated. 2020-04-06 12:23:20.323 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.database -> [video] 1605 rows updated. 2020-04-06 12:23:20.392 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.library -> --[ sync/2020-04-06T11:21:20z ] 2020-04-06 12:23:20.437 T:3963794144 NOTICE: VideoInfoScanner: Starting scan .. 2020-04-06 12:23:20.442 T:3253842656 NOTICE: EMBY.sync -> Full sync completed in: 0:00:09 Thanks 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Pulseeey 6 Posted April 8, 2020 Author Share Posted April 8, 2020 It appears doing a full database reset resolved this. Bit annoying as I have non-Emby content in my library that take a while to scan from new. Not sure why it broke like that, the only thing that changed were the file/folder structures which Emby rescanned. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Not sure why it broke like that, the only thing that changed were the file/folder structures which Emby rescanned. I am having the same issue here actually. A Kodi DB reset didn't help. Afterwards I could get up to 50 episodes max per series sync'd. I went as far as resetting Kodi data dir to defaults and start a brand-new sync. This again yielded only 15 episodes max per series. Only thing that has changed in my environment recently was the server version was upgraded to 4.5.0.4 from a fairly older one of a few months ago. I will try again with 4.5.0.5 which i see is now available. Otherwise I will try to revert to an older version and see where things go awry. DarWun 265 Posted April 12, 2020 Share Posted April 12, 2020 (edited) I can confirm. Moved down to stable:latest and full resync works again. Emby on the Synology platform officially updated from stable 4.2.0.2 to beta 4.5.0.5 over the weekend. I didn't initially notice anything odd with Emby for Kodi. But last night I did a database reset when a couple of new episodes of a show I added to my library didn't show up in Kodi. Immediately after doing so, every series in my library showed up in Emby for Kodi as having 15 episodes or less. After some troubleshooting, there are a couple of things I figured out: The number of items synced for each series is the first 15 episodes for that series physically in the library. If any of those first 15 episodes has already been watched, then the number of unwatched episodes for the series is identified as being (15 - the number of episodes watched). If all 15 of those episodes have been watched, Emby for Kodi considers the entire series to be watched and it won't display the series unless filters are set to show watched episodes. As others have already posted, doing a full database reset does not resolve the issue. Doing a repair of the TV library provides the same results as the database reset. Selecting "Refresh this Item" from the "Emby Options" context menu at the series level will do a full sync of all episodes in the library, not just the first 15. Unfortunately, this has to be done for each individual series. The 15 item limit for the sync seemed kind of random. I remembered that there is a paging option in the Emby for Kodi settings that limits the max items requested during a sync. It has a default value of 15. On a whim, I changed its value to 30 and did a database reset. After doing so, the max number of remaining episodes for each series was 30 instead of 15. That's all I have for now. You are correct on the paging - I should have mentioned that in my post as well. I set the paging to extremely high (500) to see what would happen - and I was able to get the first 50 shows (assuming that's an internal maximum without looking into this.) I didn't have much more time to debug the issue unfortunately - and just dropped to stable in order to keep the peace at home 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I kid, I kid ;-) I'm all for keeping peace at home. I'd drop back to the stable release my ownself if I could. But it's a bit more difficult to do on the Synology platform. Johnston79 0 Posted April 22, 2020 Share Posted April 22, 2020 (edited) Came here to look for this exact problem. Had some issues when I swapped my media to a different external HDD and went for a full reinstall using the Beta. All episodes show up on the web browser, just seems to be on Kodi. The missing shows all seem to have the proper NFO's etc too. Servers on a RPi3 running Raspbian Lite. EDIT going back to stable seems to have fixed it. Not finished resyncing but some shows have went above the 15 limit. Edited April 22, 2020 by Johnston79 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

joncy92 5 Posted April 22, 2020 Share Posted April 22, 2020 (edited) I have tested this on my Emby Version 4.5.0.6 beta server running on a FreeBSD 11.2 Jail (freenas). I have 3 devices running Kodi, two of which are using Emby beta add-on. All devices will only sync up to 15 episodes of any show. There is no correlation either: some TV Shows have the first 15 episodes sycned, some have the first 15 including specials, some have random episodes from each season. cybergrimes 90 Posted May 3, 2020 Share Posted May 3, 2020 (edited) Just fired up Kodi after a long while to find same issue; only syncing 1st season and then only 15 episodes. So there's a setting in the add-on, "sync" tab, for "Paging - max items requested" that is set to 15. I changed it to 25, reset the database and it's now pulling max 25 episodes instead of 15. Sorry didn't read every post in the thread to see this is already discussed Edited May 3, 2020 by cybergrimes Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
