Nearly 2 years on from the initial post, has there been any update on this? Or was this thread just not updated?

There are several ways of deleting downloaded videos.

Only one of them works for me (don't remember the combination, so try until you get the right way).

Some of them actually delete the videos in the server too, so you have to be careful.

Having the same problem, but with not cleaning up episodes after they've been marked as watched. It's very hit and miss, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Clearing app storage data is another way to get rid of them, but it's a pita.

Hi Luke, i stopped using it on my phone for awhile because of the issue. Let me test and get back to you.

I found this thread using Google, as I am having this same issue.  This is my first post here, but I'm a long time Emby user of many years.

I have an old Android tablet that I used to use, and now I use for my kids.  When I used this tablet, I had several movies downloaded to it.  Now that my kids use this tablet instead, they login to my emby server with their own dedicated kids account.  Even though the kids account does not have access to any libraries with Rated R movies, and even though the kids account does not have the Downloading option enabled on the account - it still downloads my (R rated) movies from a library they don't have access to.

Have tried manually deleting all com.mb.android folders from both internal and external storage, deleting and reinstalling the app, etc.  Nothing seems to solve it.  Soon as I login as the Kids account, it immediately downloads the R rated movies.

I'm an Emby Premier subscriber if it makes a difference.  I'm running latest versions.  Server 4.8.11.0 on Rocky Linux 9.  Client 3.4.64 for arm64.

I managed to find a work around, and that was to remove the couple of movies that it was automatically downloading from the server.  Removing them from the Emby library.  I later added them back in to a different library, and now the Android client no longer automatically downloads them.  Hope this helps someone.

My issue is the opposite. Things that should download but don't.
