sundevil67 21
Forgive my ignorance... I couldn't find any info in a search of the forums... I am looking for some kind of remote control for Emby running in a browser from across the room... nothing fancy, play/pause would be enough... an iOS or WatchOS app would do... I saw the title of this thread & thought it might be an Emby plugin?

I just clicked the "Play on another device" icon and connected to my browser from my IOS app and controlled the browser playback session.
sundevil67 21
It sounds like you're talking about casting what's playing on your iOS device to the TV... I'm trying to control what's playing in Firefox on my Macbook Pro driving several large displays while I'm across the room at my workbench ... does that make more sense? I clicked the cast on my button on my IOS app to control what was already playing on my computer in a browser session. Same with say something playing in Firefox and clicking the cast button in Edge to control Firefox playing session. So by connecting to that cast device you can control it, but dependent on user Remote control settings. Click on this I remote control that session. Sorry click on user without Remote control settings enabled but you get the point. Plus clicking Remote Control will change the view.

That doesn't work with an android and a macbook. I thought that being logged in with the same emby Connect user account would give this possibility, but it is not the case unfortunately, or I missed an episode Edited January 27, 2023 by stevenfoxhound
