Adie 1
Hi there, all help appreciated!! Emby via my Roku on TV was running fine with no problems as of Thursday evening, but when I went to Emby yesterday evening, it didn't "log in" as normal, and I was presented with options to select servers, or to log in manually, or login with Emby Connect. Trying to select a server just goes into a loop of either waiting time expiring or "cannot locate server". trying to "wake" the server does nothing. I've tried Emby Connect, and entering the PIN OK, which *seems* to progress things as I can then see the name of my own account on-screen, but when I click on it, I go back to square 1. Emby on my PC is running fine, but the dashboard tells me "Emby Server on Emby Server has been updated to 4.4.0.40 - 4/3/2020, 5:42:13 PM" (i.e. yesterday) so I think this must be a factor somehow. I am *not* a PC ninja so I hope there might be a simple solution, or something silly I've missed... thanks a lot in advance for any help, stay safe & have a good weekend! Solution speechles 1917 Posted April 4, 2020 Solution Share Posted April 4, 2020 (edited) The IP might have changed on the Emby server. Check your Emby server dashboard to see the IP/host it uses now. You may have to use "Add Server" on the app and enter the new IP/host. It also might be the Windows firewall doing something or your anti-virus software. Let us know if it isn't any of the above and we can go from there. Thanks. First off, restart Emby server and see if that alone cures the issue. Edited April 4, 2020 by speechles
Adie 1
Thank you! Just restarting the server was all it needed - if this is a regular issue for dumbasses like me, a dialogue box saying "Your server has been automatically updated, please click [HERE] to restart your Emby server" might be a good idea... just a thought. Thanks again, be safe!
