Cannot play files today that I could play within the past two weeks.

Hi,

I started having an issue today that I haven't had before. I've spent a couple hours trying to solve the problem on my own but haven't had any luck.

Today I tried to watch an HEVC Main10 encoded file and I got the error:

"No compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contact your system administrator for details."

I tried with other files, including one I had just successfully watched earlier this month, so I know that it was working at some point.

Things that I have tried, none of which have changed the outcome:

- restart emby server

- restart the physical computer

- check to make sure there isn't a cap on streaming bitrate

- refresh metadata of library in question

- remove library, full scan, then re-add library

- update to beta 4.5.0.3

- full uninstall and reinstall of emby server

- make sure items in question have a valid path

- make sure that ffmpeg executable is where the logs are looking for it

I have recent files that are encoded using a newer HEVC preset in handbrake that still work, but basically anything encoded using my old HEVC preset don't work. (I haven't really checked them all, that would take forever)

Here are logs (regular & debug) from a file that I just watched ~2 weeks ago encoded with my old preset that worked and now doesn't, as well as the logs from streaming a file encoded with the new preset that still works.

@@gurdoman - Would you be able to provide a file for testing - via PM?  (the smaller the better)

As an alternative, I could walk you through a number of tests (trying different versions of ffmpeg).

@nicjohnson7  @@gurdoman Thanks for reporting and @@gurdoman - thanks for supplying the test file.

It turns out that this issue has already been fixed. The fix wasn't included in the 4.4.0.40 release, but it's in the latest beta and it will be in the next release.

Thanks again!
