Rp4000 3
so i opened one of the .nfo files on my movies folder and it showed this for the image : https://img.omdbapi.com/?i=tt6902676&apikey=fe53f97e but when i went to that link it says the api is invalid. and now lots of metadata is missing. if i manually add the image it works fine and emby stores the image file directly in the folder. i am in china so i can not use tvdb i need to use imdb or fanart
Rp4000 3
so i went to omdbapi and registered for a new key, but where do i put this information in the emby server.
Rp4000 3
@luke i know you guys control the plugin for omdb is there anyway to input manually our own api. that we created from the website.
Rp4000 3
if i do use the identify section it does find the movie, but it is only downloading the poster and it is downloading the poster in 200x300 resolution.
Luke 37024
There's no way to customize the omdb API key at this time but it's something we'll probably add in future updates. Thanks.
Rp4000 3
There's no way to customize the omdb API key at this time but it's something we'll probably add in future updates. Thanks. ok, but is there something in the settings that i make emby work like how it did before? could it be the way my folders / files are named - many of my folders have "." between each words. is there a way to set it so that it only grabs information from fanart.tv (i have already installed the plugin. any tips or help would be great because the latest final build 4.3.1.0 build until synology tells me to update to 4.4.0.40 . i am kind of at a lost because many posters are just image grabs from the file and no backgrounds or even actor pictures or information. the only information i can see populating is a small snaps of the movie and the rating from imdb. any help would be great thanks @luke
Rp4000 3
what i really dont understand is that if i go to search for the pictures inside emby it can't seem to find anything i only see the loading circle. but i know the website isn't blocked because it works just fine from my computer when i look at the logs i see this Error ProviderManager: FanartMovieImageProvider failed in GetImageInfos for type Movie does this have to do with not having correct permissions on synology or is this a different problem. Luke 37024
Typical causes of this are firewall, security software or VPN blocking the emby server process. Can you look into this?
